about

We believe that understanding cultures begins with curiosity, and that language is the first step toward deeper connection.

What is Guide to Latin?

About the Guide

An Arabic-language guide that connects each country to its languages, and each language to its library. You can browse destinations, read an overview of each one, and then go to the library of the language that interests you, organized into :categories_count sections: :categories_list.

Countries and Languages Covered

The guide focuses on three languages: Spanish, Portuguese and English, and covers :countries_count independent countries whose official language is one of them, including English-speaking Belize and Guyana. The list does not include dependent territories, nor countries where other languages predominate, such as Haiti.

Content and Sources

The country overviews are brief introductory texts, while the data in the da'wah and education portals is drawn from published sources documented on each country’s “Sources and References” page. The information must be reviewed, and approved sources and files added, before the public launch.

Photographs are from Unsplash and are used for illustrative purposes; some images may be repeated across destinations. The site does not collect personal data and does not require an account.

Our Mission

Three commitments guide every record we publish and every partnership we form.

Document

Catalog mosques, schools, cultural institutions, and community organisations — with services, founding dates, contact details, and the sources behind each field.

Connect

Link centers to the research that references them, countries to the communities they contain, and readers to the evidence they need to trust what they find.

Research

Index articles, working papers, theses, and reports by country, language, and topic — curating scholarship that helps researchers and policymakers understand the region.

Partners & collaborators

We draw on public registries, academic institutions, and municipal data sources across the region.
